In case we’ve not had the pleasure of meeting yet, my name is Zoë Burcham and I am the marketing coordinator at Kinghorn Law. When I joined the Kinghorn Law team in October 2020, I heard from Kevin quite a bit about the upcoming American Dream Experience which was usually followed by Kevin saying, “When you and Sean attend, this will all make sense. You’ll see.”
To give you some back story, my husband Sean and I do not label ourselves as investors. We’ve spent much of our married life working hard to pay off student loans and credit card debt. We agreed that when our debts were paid that we would start investing. But where do you start? How do you start? Friends have told us their stories – the good and the bad – and what we should “really” be doing. 
On April 22 – 23, 2021, we finally had the opportunity to participate in the American Dream Experience. It was exciting to see the difference that this approach to investing can make for our family. Throughout the workshop, Sean and I had opportunity to sit together and discuss what our financial goals are and where we want to go. By the end of the workshop, we discovered that our purpose for money is to create lasting memories together through experience and to give back to our community in a meaningful way for us. The American Dream Experience left Sean’s analytical brain, learning more about the scientific method to investing, answered many of his questions and took the guessing out of investing for him. As for my free-spirit attitude towards money, having a trusted advisor like Kevin, to be an investor coach to us on our investing journey, was a huge relief.
